Version
[edit]Since this is a version 4 (33x33) QR symbol, it doesn't actually contain version information. That is present only in version 7 (45x45) and larger symbols. If version information were present, the two blue blocks would contain the same pattern of dark and light (but rotated 90 degrees). Bobmath (talk) 15:53, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't understand. If it "doesn't actually contain version information" then why are there two blue blocks, shown in the legend to be "version information"? It does not make sense. 86.161.61.185 (talk) 14:54, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- The part of the QR Code that is marked in blue is not actually version information, it is part of the data area. The blue markings are erroneous. Bobmath (talk) 23:45, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
unfortunate transparency and background
[edit]This image is displayed on top of a faint gray and white checkerboard pattern, which is common in these pages. However, due to the transparency of the image, the background shows through. Witness this most straightforwardly in the green "quiet zone", and then you will see it all over the place. The effect is particularly disruptive for viewers because the scale of the background checkerboard almost exactly matches the scale of the data matrix. We need a version of this image that does not let the background show through! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ergotius (talk • contribs) 02:11, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
